Busta Rhymes signs with Murder Inc. Records

As you may have previously heard, Busta Rhymes has been dropped from Interscope Records. Also, he has re-established a friendship with Irv Gotti and Murder Inc. Gotti heard about Busta being dropped from Interscope and agreed to fulfill an exclusive distribution deal for Busta and his Flipmode Records until 2014. When asked about the signing, Murder Inc. head, Irv Gotti said: 'I spoke to Dr. Dre about the situation, and he agreed to let Busta out of his contract. I know we had our issues with Aftermath and Busta Rhymes in the past, but we were able to talk it out back in '06 and we cool with Eminem, Dr. Dre, Busta, and them. Not 50 and G-Unit, but honestly, we are now focused on making beautiful music together.' Despite this, Busta's album, Blessed, will be released on Flipmode/Aftermath/Interscope. The Flipmode camp has yet to respond to the signing.

TBT's Promo Season

The 2008-2009 TBT Season will start on August 23, 2008. But, the promo season will begin today. We will debut our commercials and our slogan, Welcome Home. The show will contain cast members from our original series talking about embarassing moments, what to expect from their show, and much more. Meanwhile, our sponsors will air their commercials, and talk about their businesses. The TBT executives will be explaining the network to the loyal viewers and what to expect as TBT tries to become a powerhouse like many expected The CW Television Network to become.

Ja Rule ft. Robin Thicke - Pushin' It

Wow, who expected this one Ja and Thicke. Well, I didn't, despite that I think that this is a great sounding song. Robin's voice is on point and meshes well with Ja's lyrics. This is single potential, TRL will eat this one up. I know Ja Rule has many haters, but you can't deny this song, come on, now. If Ja keeps coming like this, he'll be back where he was in 2002, and Irv's show might come back. Anyway, this is the third single from Ja's seventh album, The Mirror. The album is currently set for an August 19, 2008 release on Murder Inc./Universal.

Mims - More Than Meets The Eye

New York rapper, Mims, is preparing to release a new album entitled, More Than Meets The Eye. The album was somewhat unexpected as he was working on another album set for a September/October release. This album will be released on American King Music, but through distribution from Plastichead Records instead of Capitol Records. The album is being promoted by his single "Driving Down The Block," guest appearances are to come from Lil Wayne, Bad Seed, Page, and Class The King. More Than Meets The Eye hits stores on July 29, 2008 on, as mentioned, American King/Plastichead. This album is produced entirely by DJ Lennox.
